Acrylic Pour Workshop*
Acrylic Pour is one of Ireland's fastest growing pastimes. Here at Greenway Lane we have finessed it to a fine art.
Art activities are known to lower stress levels and promote mental calmness. Acrylic Pour takes your mind off of your everyday life and provides a relaxing distraction. Many people with high pressure jobs come to the workshops because they find them very beneficial and so they return again and again.
We are the only studio in Ireland teaching this workshop.

Beginners Resin Workshop*
Join us for our exciting hands on and very creative Resin Workshops. Another trend which has become very popular recently. Again, we are the only professional studio teaching individuals how to use resin correctly in the country. Preparing you for future projects such as deep resin pours, resin in woodwork and resin incorporated into art and craft projects. We have been working with Resin for the past 8 years, so we have made all the mistakes for you, saving you time and money. Our Resin Workshop teaches you the “do’s’ and particularly the “‘don’ts” in all things resin. We will teach you everything you need to know to get you on your path to using resin in your practice.

Your finished pieces will require a period of 24 hours to cure, pieces will be posted to you once fully cured, participants can pick pieces up or choose postage as extra, €10 payable on the day)

We will be working with Resin incorporating dried flowers at this workshop.

Maureen also works on commissions and on projects incorporating other materials such as wood.
Maureen has established solid connection’s to artists, buyers, wood turners and she also trains carpentry course instructors in the use of resin for teaching purposes.
If you would like to have some training in resin with Maureen for all things resin so you can be an on trend carpentry instructor then this is where you need to be.

Alcohol Ink Art*
A new activity we have just started here at the Greenway Lane. Alcohol ink is, as the name suggests, an alcohol-based, highly pigmented ink that can be diluted with isopropyl alcohol (ISO) and in doing so one can create extremely beautiful pieces of art work.
Alcohol ink is a colorful, acid-free medium that’s a really fun to paint with. The ink is capable of creating colorful abstract pieces or more intricate paintings. There are a variety of different techniques you can use to manipulate the alcohol ink in imaginative ways. If you take a workshop and use your creativity, painting with alcohol ink can be fun and easy.
We have frequently changing lists of subjects delivered by Maureen every week.

Prosecco and Paint
What art for adults could be more relaxing than a painting class? A painting class with wine, maybe.
Bring your friends, your spouse or yourself to paint and sip after a long day on the Greenway. A fun way to end a day........... enjoy a glass or two while you paint your own masterpiece. Minimum number of 4 required. We supply everything, you bring the wine. You can paint a still life, try your hand at a whacky self-portrait or even do some watercolour painting incorporating pressed wild flowers!
A Paint & Sip class is actually an informal art class where, without the pressure of fine art lessons, people without any painting experience can paint a painting from start to finish. To make the experience even more relaxed, the guests can have a glass or two of good wine, Prosecco, a cocktail or any non-alcoholic beverage.

Advanced Acrylic Pour Works
In this workshop you will take your Acrylic Pour to a whole new level.
Advanced Acrylic pouring is an acrylic painting technique or fluid art where you literally pour fluid paint onto the painting surface (canvas, wooden panel, or board) creating intricate and unusual patterns.
Using advanced acrylic pouring techniques will allow you to apply high fluidity paint in various ways to a canvas or other substrate of your choice. The fluid painting techniques in this workshop are extremely enthralling and the various methods can lead to vastly different results. When poured onto the canvas or surface, the imbalance of different paint densities creates interesting and visually stunning reactions.

Our workshops allow you to have a more intimate and memorable celebration with your family and friends. Maureen O’Neill is a full-time artist and art tutor from Mayo. She has a BA Honours in Art and Design from GMIT and also has a degree in Heritage Studies. Maureen’s practice comfortably crosses several art disiplines
Maureen’s work has been exhibited as far a’ field as California. Her work has also appeared in many of the Irish Home and Interior magazines.
She has had numerous solo exhibitions and exhibited widely in Group Shows at home and in the US.

This is a painting class for anyone who wants to dive into fine art painting, but isn’t quite sure where to start. Tuesday Evening Painting Classes
Learn to draw and paint at the Greenway Lane studio - a fun, creative and ideal way to get to grips with basic techniques and create beautiful images.
We believe everyone can draw. Whether you are just starting off, returning to art after years without practice, or already have some knowledge of technique, our tutor will help you develop your skills and potential. All art supplies are provided by GLAS.
Students are taught the fundamental techniques of drawing and painting such as line, shading, colour mixing, composition and scale. They will achieve an understanding of form by first learning to draw different geometrical shapes and objects. They will then turn to painting and will be taught colour mixing techniques, colour values, and painting application techniques. Students will be introduced to the following media in our beginner's courses: graphite, charcoal, chalk pastel, oil pastel, oil paint, watercolour, and acrylic paint.
How to study art classes regularly?
In addition, after you finish a 6 week , you can choose to continue your learning by rebooking or choosing a new personalized package. Many of our students choose to master a particular medium/s, develop a genre or wish to try something new.
Classes take place every Tuesday 7pm - 9pm

Art Camps
Summer Art Camp
​
Greenway Lane Kids Summer Art Camp is all set for the start of summer. As always, our focus will be all things creative. We will cover a range of arts and crafts aim to have loads and loads of fun!!!

The Art Camp runs each day from 10.30 to 1.30
Mid morning snacks will be included (usually fruit and a yogurt), but you are more than welcome to send something different in with your child instead. They should also bring their own drink with them.

With a limited enrolment of 12, children receive a lot of personal attention from us. With attentive teachers and excellent facilities, and a nurturing camp community, the creative campers find a place they can be themselves, meet like-minded friends and have a lovely experience. We offer five days of fun-filled activities. Our camp is for 6 to 12 years of age with projects tailored for each age group. Our week-long summer camps include acrylic pour, fabric painting, canvas painting, multiple crafts in different mediums...and, of course, pottery painting to name but a few! To register for camp - select the week you’re interested in.
